The role of GreenTech is currently one of the biggest drivers of sustainable development, and that is no different within the NHS. To explore deeper into new, innovative developments we invited industry professionals and leading experts in green medical technologies to discuss how tech can help lead our healthcare system to a greener future in our latest one-hour webinar.

Last year we witnessed some amazing progress in sustainability within the NHS. As we look forward to more growth in 2022, we kicked off this year with a webinar inviting NHS professionals to discuss their journeys so far and what they believe is to come over the next year.

The Sustainability Partnership Awards showcase and recognise those organisations and NHS Trusts that have strived to implement sustainable change. The awards are to benchmark the achievements and progress being made across the healthcare landscape to make the world a greener place.

For our first event of the day, we invited NHS staff from a multitude of departments to speak about their sustainability journey and the challenges they have faced so far.  

On Tuesday October the 12th, our partner Inenco took over one of our webinars to bring our audience insight into a subject they know best; approaches to sustainability and carbon reporting. The one-hour webinar discussed the similarities and differences between public and private sector approaches.

As part of World Green Building Week, we invited a panel of expert speakers to discuss how, through collaboration and innovation, we can both transform existing buildings and work together on shaping innovations in green construction for a greener future.

This webinar discussed how new and innovative products could aid the NHS in reducing the plastic used and better manage their plastic waste. Examining alternatives and enacting change within our NHS will require a collaborative approach and the exchange of ideas.

With emerging digital technology allowing for greater power, optimization and analytics, energy efficiency is evolving. The NHS can reduce energy costs, increase resiliency, and meet sustainability goals by implementing effective energy management. For this webinar we invited an expert panel of sustainable energy innovators, leaders and suppliers to discuss the future of powering the NHS towards net zero.

Part two of the sustainability day of action live webinars discussed systematic approaches to food sustainability that can improve health, reduce waste, lower our carbon footprint and contribute towards the NHS meeting a net-zero target. 

For this webinar, we invited Victoria Barlow, Senior Sustainability Officer at the Manchester University Foundation Trust and Caroline Seton Co-Founder of Human Forest to discuss new technologies, innovations and strategies that are having a positive impact on the environment and assisting the NHS in meeting the net-zero target.

Cutting-edge technology is at the heart of transformation and is engrained in the entire procurement process, from green manufacturing methods and materials used to smart energy usage and production and logistics. For this webinar, we invited the top minds in MedTech and sustainable technology to discuss how technology can forge a new path for the NHS.

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world. Climate change is threatening the pillars of sustainable health. It is our mission to help tackle climate change and support the NHS in becoming the world’s first net-zero national health service.
