Servita has been supporting the NHS on its digital journey for several years, bringing with them a new perspective on how problems can be addressed with innovative solutions, and making sure that the latest technology available on the market is being applied so they can operate as efficiently as possible.

Servita were recently awarded “Sustainable Software of the Year, 2023” for designing and building the Patient Care Aggregator, a solution that has been celebrated by Greener NHS for using stateless, sustainable architecture to dynamically query trust data and enable new functionality in the NHS App.

Since the launch of the Patient Care Aggregator, Servita have worked closely with the Greener NHS to calculate and understand the wider environmental benefits and impacts of digital services. The study has now engaged 13 Trusts and 4 Patient Engagement Platform portals with the aim of driving further awareness of the environmental benefits that digital transformations enable.

This collaboration has been recognised across government offices via the Sustainable Transformation and Reporting (STAR) committee and has led to Servita being awarded “Supplier of the Year” at this years’ Sustainability Awards.

Pete Waddingham (AIEMA), NetZero Lead – Health Innovation Network

Pete Waddingham, NetZero Lead, Health Innovation Network Pete Waddingham is the National Net Zero Lead for The Health Innovation Network; an organisation established by NHS England to spread innovation at scale - improving health and generating economic growth. He has worked for the Network for the last 5 years on topics such as Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer and workforce training and helping innovators access the NHS. Prior to this Pete worked as an Operation Manager at the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. He has ten years’ experience of working within the NHS as a Commissioning Manager and numerous years working within Local Government, and during his career has always tried to blend innovation, creative thinking with an understanding of the need to tackle climate change.
