Beyond Ambition: Achieving Net Zero in NHS Supply Chains

Join us for our first webinar of our Sustainability Day of Action! In this morning session, we’ll be delving into the heart of the NHS's ambitious Net Zero journey.

The NHS has set a groundbreaking target: reaching NetZero emissions for both direct and indirect sources by 2040 and 2045, respectively. But, achieving this requires collaboration with suppliers.

This webinar goes beyond the roadmap, exploring:

  • The power of collective action: How the NHS and suppliers can work together to unlock the full potential of sustainable practices.

  • Beyond compliance, towards innovation: Uncovering additional steps beyond the roadmap to truly accelerate progress and embed sustainability into the core of supply chains.

  • Smoothing the transition, building resilience: Examining potential challenges and practical solutions to ensure a smooth, future-proof transition for both NHS and suppliers.

Hear from leading voices in the NHS, cutting-edge industry professionals, and businesses offering innovative solutions as they navigate the exciting path towards a greener future. Gain valuable insights, discover actionable strategies, and actively participate in shaping a more sustainable NHS supply chain for all.

This is not just a webinar; it's an opportunity to be part of the change.

Tushar Sharma, Co-Founder and CEO, Ecomedic AI
Talk Title:
Conduct Life Cycle Assessments of Products and Services at Scale
About:
The healthcare industry emits more emissions than aviation (2x) & automotive (1.5x). Cost-based methods to measure emissions don’t work for hospitals/ suppliers due to rising costs/ inflation.  Science-based approach called Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) has been adopted by the hospitals. This helps analyse the entire process around clinical pathways and find a more carbon-efficient process. LCA can take 6+ months and is prohibitively expensive($$$). Ecomedic has created an AI LCA tool that conducts LCA within 3-4 hours & reduces cost by 100x. Ecomedic is enabling hospitals and medical suppliers to conduct assessments at scale without the need to train for months on complex software. At the core of our product, Ecomedic has a relentless focus on financial viability, health equity, and sustainability when looking at emissions in the healthcare industry. We aim to help reduce 100 megatons kg CO2 e every year.
